Project Background
VMG STUDIOS brought me in as an e-learning developer for a high-intensity project that needed an ace programmer to help them take their client’s training courses to the next level. The Young Bankers Club program, owned and administered by VMG Studio’s client, Fifth Third Bank, was developed to teach crucial financial literacy skills to elementary school students.
The program is highly unique to the e-learning industry as it incorporates immense programming goals and next-level art and design. For an e-learning programmer, it presented a series of complex yet rewarding challenges as everything was custom built; from games and seamless cutscenes to branching storylines where your choices affect the outcome of the adventure.
My Role
Using Articulate Storyline, I worked closely with the Project Manager, Instructional Designer, Creative Director, Content Development Manager and the production and design teams to take storyboards, scripts, and thousands of assets and turn them into the immersive world of Max’s Scavenger Hunt.
Results
The program was a smashing success, boasting regular lesson completion rates above 90% and course completion rates over 4 times above the industry standard. Fifth Third Bank was so pleased that they asked VMG Studios to craft another financial literacy program, this time for teens: Finance Academy.
